I’m not a big video games person since I prefer table-top gaming. I tend to get frustrated and say screw it, which is what happened when I originally picked up Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. Even with help from an online walk-thru, I never made it out of Santa Monica. I also found the script that characters had to follow annoying and wasn’t impressed by how my character was chosen.
But, the other day Steam happened to have a sale on Bloodlines for something around 5 euro and I picked it up. You do need a patch that will help update the game to modern resolutions and fix all the bugs that were in the game, but I’ll make sure to list the process in a full review, which will come later down the road. For now, I just wanted to give my initial thoughts on the beginning of the game which gives some introduction to the clans, the World of Darkness, and is an overall tutorial of game functions.
